Moncler Code Checker
Enter your Moncler authenticity code
Type the code printed on the authenticity label, not the care label or product code. Spaces and dashes are ignored.
Does the code fit the item?
Compare the decoded code with the item's visible details. A match supports consistency, but it does not authenticate the item.
What is a Moncler authenticity code?
Moncler garments made since 2013 carry an authenticity label sewn inside, with a unique alphanumeric code and a QR code that can be checked on Moncler's own site, code.moncler.com. From the Spring/Summer 2016 collection, the label also carries an NFC tag that a phone can read.
Before that, from Spring/Summer 2009 to 2012 (and on select styles from 2008), Moncler used numbered labels from the authentication company Certilogo. Older garments generally have no authenticity label at all.
How to use this Moncler code checker
Type the code from the authenticity label. The checker screens the format and gives you the official verification link. It cannot confirm a code: only Moncler can. Then use the consistency check to see whether the label fits the era the seller claims.
If the label is missing, the code fails on Moncler's site, or the label does not fit the era, a professional authentication is the safer next step. For other brands, start with the designer serial number checker hub.
What does a Moncler code result mean?
A Plausible code format means the code has the 12 characters retailer guides describe for labels since 2013. An Unusual code length usually means the code was copied from the wrong label, or the garment has an older Certilogo label. Neither result says anything about authenticity.
The real test is Moncler's verification site, followed by the garment itself. A code can be copied from a genuine jacket, so a successful check still has to agree with the model, materials and construction.
Moncler authenticity labels by era
| Era | Label | How it is verified |
|---|---|---|
| Before 2009 | Usually no authenticity label | Construction, logo patch, labels and materials only. |
| 2008 (select styles) – 2012 | Certilogo label with a numbered code | Originally on Certilogo's website. We cannot confirm that route still works for these older codes. |
| 2013 – 2015 | Moncler label with code and QR code | At code.moncler.com, by code or by scanning the QR code. |
| Spring/Summer 2016 onwards | Moncler label with code, QR code and NFC tag | At code.moncler.com, or by tapping an NFC-enabled phone on the label. |
Scanning should always take you to a moncler.com address. A QR code or NFC tag that opens any other website is a serious warning sign.
Where to find the authenticity label on a Moncler jacket
The authenticity label is usually sewn into an inside seam, often near the care labels on the lower inner side of the jacket or inside a pocket. It is separate from the care label and from the product code.
On labels from Spring/Summer 2016 onwards, the NFC tag sits inside the label. Hold the back of an NFC-enabled phone flat against it for a few seconds.

What if the code checks out but something feels wrong?
A code that passes on Moncler's site is strong supporting evidence, but not the end of the check. Labels can be removed from a genuine garment and sewn into a fake, and the same code can be reused across many counterfeit labels. Moncler's site may show how often a code has been checked, which can reveal a reused code.
Compare what the site says about the product with the garment in front of you, then look at the logo patch, zipper hardware, stitching, down fill and labels.
Why a Moncler code can still be misleading
Moncler's digital label is one of the stronger anti-counterfeiting systems in fashion, which is exactly why fakes try to copy it. Counterfeit labels often carry a QR code only, with no working NFC tag, or a code lifted from a genuine garment.
That is why an authenticator looks at the garment as well as the label: the felt or rubber logo patch, the zippers, the quilting, the down and the care labels. Legitique reviews those signals together.
What to do after checking your Moncler code
Enter the code on code.moncler.com or scan the QR code, and check that the result matches the model in front of you. Use the consistency check above to see whether the label fits the claimed era.
Before buying, selling or filing a dispute, get a professional Moncler authentication with photos of the full garment, the authenticity label, care labels, logo patch, zippers and stitching.
When to order a professional Moncler authentication
Order an authentication when the price is high, the seller is unknown, the label is missing or fails verification, the code has been checked many times, or you plan to use the result for a marketplace claim, chargeback or resale listing.
See how it works and what the Certificate of Authenticity includes.
Does the Moncler code tell me the season or model?
Not from the characters themselves. The code is a unique identifier with no readable date or model information. Moncler's verification site is what links it to a product.

Moncler code checker questions
Answers to the questions that come up most often when checking a Moncler authenticity code.
How do I check if my Moncler code is real?
Enter the code from the authenticity label at code.moncler.com, or scan the QR code on the label. On labels from Spring/Summer 2016 onwards you can also tap an NFC-enabled phone on the label.
How many characters is a Moncler code?
Retailer guides describe a 12-character code on labels made since 2013. A different length often means the code was copied from the wrong label or comes from an older Certilogo label.
When did Moncler add the NFC tag?
Moncler added the NFC tag to its authenticity label with the Spring/Summer 2016 collection, alongside the code and QR code introduced in 2013.
My Moncler has a Certilogo label. Is it fake?
Not necessarily. Moncler used numbered Certilogo labels from Spring/Summer 2009 to 2012, and on select styles from 2008. A Certilogo label on a jacket claimed to be from 2016 would be a conflict.
My vintage Moncler has no authenticity label. Is it fake?
Not necessarily. Garments made before 2009 generally have no authenticity label, so they are checked on construction, labels and materials instead.
Can a fake Moncler pass the code check?
Yes, if the label was copied or moved from a genuine garment. That is why the product shown on the verification site, and the garment itself, must also match.
Does the Moncler code show the season or year?
No. The code is a unique identifier with no readable date or model information. The verification site links it to a product.
The QR code opened a website that is not moncler.com. What now?
Treat it as a serious warning sign. Genuine labels lead to Moncler's own domain. Do not enter personal details on the other site, and get the garment professionally checked.
